Environmental impact
Milpa manages almost 5,000 hectares of regenerative organic farms (zero chemical inputs, zero pesticides, plant cover, minimal tillage, crop rotations) and guarantees an income per hectare for 30 farms in 5 French regions.
Conventional agriculture, largely based on ploughing and chemical inputs, is causing both profound damage to living organisms and social distress in the farming world. With Milpa, we have found a systemic response to these challenges. On the one hand, regenerative organic farming practices take care of the soil, biodiversity and human health; on the other, the income guarantee finally gives farmers the security and stability they need to make a lasting commitment to the transition.
